Put on your thinking caps!

Greetings fellow blocked artists!

Well, it's week 2, I haven't read the second chapter, and I haven't yet reflected on the first. Seriously slacking!

I was in Mexico until Saturday, so I am giving myself a 2 day pass to get caught up on chapter 2.

Wanted to hear everyones intital thoughts- starting with MORNING PAGES. Here are my two questions:
1. Are morning pages effective if you don't do them first thing in the morning?

and
2. Does anyone else find their handwriting to be MUCH worse and MUCH bigger when writing said pages?

My answers:
1. I am definitely feeling more creative, just not sure if it's the fact that I'm doing the Artist's Way, or because it's a new year, or because I'm coming off 2 weeks of vacation, one of which was spent in Mexico. I suppose only time will tell! (I have evidenced my creativeness with below photo of my balloon hat making skills on the beach last week- thanks VA for pointing out the connection!)

2. My handwriting, which is usually quite neat, is big, sloppy and loopy when I write my morning pages. I think it is so I fill up the page quicker.

Your turn- discuss!

The First Step Down the Creative Yellow Brick Road

"You must do the thing which you think you can not do."
-Eleanor Roosevelt

It is with that thought in mind and pen in hand that we start on this creative adventure together. We all have a different goal, but it's wonderful to know we are not alone on the trail, thus the purpose of this group- to provide support, encouragement, and perspective along the way. I hope we will all use this medium as a sounding board for our questions and ideas. All we will need to start is this book, and a desire to challenge ourselves daily. Day one of our challenge is Friday, January 1st, 2010.

Happy trails to you!
